Refund policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This policy applies to HCR Media memberships, subscriptions, digital access, courses and related services.
1. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where a service has a major failure, or another statutory remedy applies, you may be entitled to a refund or other remedy regardless of the terms below.
2. Change-of-mind and outcome-based refunds
Except where required by law, purchases are not refundable for change of mind, failure to use the service, dissatisfaction with a subjective outcome, lack of job or client results, failure to secure work or income, or because an opportunity is no longer available.
HCR provides access, information, learning resources and possible opportunities. Purchasing a package does not guarantee a job, client, project, income, selection, response, interview, acceptance, business result or any other outcome.
3. Digital access and memberships
Once digital access, member content, a course, job listings or another service has been supplied or made available, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where HCR approves a remedy under this policy.
Subscriptions renew according to the billing interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not normally produce a full or partial refund for the current billing period. You remain responsible for charges incurred before cancellation.
4. When a remedy may be available
If the purchased service is not supplied at all, is materially different from its description, or fails to meet a mandatory consumer guarantee, contact us promptly. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, HCR may provide a correction, replacement access, service credit, partial refund or full refund.
HCR will assess requests reasonably using account records, access history, the service description and information supplied by the customer. Any discretionary refund is determined by HCR on a case-by-case basis. This discretion does not override rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. How to request a review
Email hiroki@hcrmedia.net with your name, order number, purchase date, package and a clear explanation of the issue. Submit requests as soon as possible after discovering the problem. We may ask for further information needed to investigate.
6. Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us first so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension of access. Nothing in this policy prevents a customer from making a lawful complaint to a regulator, payment provider, tribunal or court.
